Biggest vector I have ever made. Roughly 70 layers, lots of paths, gradients etc.
This is my contest entry for [link]
This pictures "my evolution towards vector", which means:
It shows how I discovered vector art and how the pen tool works.
I started drawing with pencil (E)
Then I learned traditional inking with East-Indian ink (vo)
After that I discovered more media, paint, ballpoint pens (lu)
And soon I discovered Photoshop. I loved that program and it took a while for me to look further. (ti)
I wanted to learn how to use the pen tool. I told a friend and he said "if you want to learn how to use the pen tool, get Illustrator, that program is built around it". So I did. That is where the vectoring started. (on)
I depicted my early use of photoshop as making a simple grass-field with an imitation of the grass-brush. The Illustrator part is like a sea of flow and gradients and smooth lines.
I actually own all the tools on this picture. I took pictures of them as reference to vector them. The interface of Illustrator and Photoshop are 100% vectored. (by me)
Yes, even for the swatches, it took much effort.
